This one's for Lace!

Here's the last video I put together before moving to Utah to get ready for basic training. All by popular demand (by my lovely sister Laci). Enjoy!

The New Martha Stewart

Last night my sister Laci helped me put together a little homey treat that I've been wanting to put up for some time. This one is for all the roomies that like to pile their dishes up to Everest heights, leave food in pans until it smells of several dying animals, and worst of all, touch my little soapy scrub brush.

One of my favorites...

This has got to be one of the greatest commercials of all time. Can you catch the subtle hints for the benefits of fiber in your diet?

The Class of a Thousand Topics

After earning that little 81/2x11 piece of paper that officially makes me "knowledgeable" in hydraulics, I've had the privilege of taking a secondary course for in-flight refueling. What started as "just another annoyance keeping me in Texas" has metamorphosed into a great experience. In the basic course for hydro we mostly covered basics and rarely took a stab at the intricacies of specific systems. But in the IFR course, boy oh boy did we get down 'n dirty! At times my mind was spinning trying to comprehend the hundreds of gritty specifics on the in-flight refueling system. But alas, all crazy things come to an end! And today is the day of the final test! Coming back to the Motherland tomorrow! Hooah!

I am Teh Graduate!

The day has come. The day I have dreamt of since I was a wee lad, is finally here. I am a certified Air Force Pneudralic Technician. Sure, the title may sound a bit more fancy than the job actually is, but hey, the mission and my schooling will be paid for! *thumbs up*

I now have the authority to wear that little two by one inch badge above my pocket that screams to the world, "I am a mechanic! Hear me roar!" Vedddy niiice, veddy nice indeed! All that is left for me in texas is a ten day course on in-flight refueling! The light! Can you see it? I sure as heck can!!

I am the Jet Engine

Being in my particular field of work affords me with strange experiences. Most strange indeed. I never thought I would use an M-16, especially in hand-to-hand combat, or remove a gas mask in a room full of tear gas. But I'd have to say the one experience I've enjoyed the most is climbing into the rear-end of jet through the thrust nozzle to work on the hydraulics from the inside. Mind you, the temperature outside was anywhere from 90-100 degrees while I worked inside the T-38A mini-oven, so the temp in there, oh boy, I don't even want to know how hot it was in there. Other than the blazing heat, the work was enjoyable and I felt pretty cool doing it ;)
